Virtual Lunch & Learn: May 1st

Please join us for a district-wide Virtual Parent Lunch and Learn on Friday, May 1st from 12:00-12:30.

To kick off Mental Health Awareness Month the topic will be Your Child's Mental Health: What to Notice and What to Know, led by Alyson Walters, WLCSC Mental Health Therapist. We're excited that the Scarlet & Gray event to benefit the West Lafayette Schools Education Foundation is happening this weekend! Funds raised through this special event support meaningful opportunities for staff and students across all of our schools.

Our high school Student Council is hosting a Kids' Night Out fundraiser, where kids will have the opportunity to participate in many fun activities! Examples include: face painting, jump rope, dance, board games, movies, whiffle ball, basketball, kickball, and more!

  • Grades K-6
  • Pizza will be served
  • Pre-registration: $25 per child or $55 for all children in the same immediate family (cash or check upon drop off)
  • Walk-Up registration: $30 per child or $60 for 3 or more children in the same immediate family

WLCSC MathCounts Advances to State Competition

West Lafayette Junior High and West Lafayette Intermediate competed at their Chapter MathCounts Competition on Saturday, February 10th. The Junior High placed first and the Intermediate placed 2nd in this 6,7,8 grade competition. Out of the top 20 students, 18 of them were from West Lafayette! Congratulations! Next, they will compete at the state competition in March.

No Textbook or Course Fees for 2023-24

Due to a recent legislative change, and beginning with the 2023-2024 school year, West Lafayette Community Schools will no longer be charging our families textbook and course fees.

We wanted to let you know this news as the summer is ending and you are preparing for the upcoming school year.
