The School Board recognizes its obligation to care for the health and safety of students, employees, and visitors on West Lafayette Community School Corporation property and at Corporation sponsored activities.  

In compliance with Indiana Code and the regulations of the State Department of Health, the Superintendent shall prepare and implement an environmental health and safety program designed to protect and promote the indoor air quality of Corporation facilities.  

To achieve this, the Superintendent shall designate a person to serve as the Indoor Air Quality  (IAQ) Coordinator for the Corporation. The IAQ Coordinator shall monitor and assist in all matters related to indoor air quality in the Corporation’s facilities. The Corporation shall publish the IAQ Coordinator’s contact information on the Corporation’s website and in school handbooks.  

Each school facility shall meet criteria established by the Indiana Department of Health.
