Marching Band Steps Off on Wednesday! |
WLMB starts Wednesday -- are you ready??We're ready to step off with the 7th year of the West Lafayette Marching "Red Devils" Band! Marching band camp starts at Burtsfield on Wednesday at 8 AM with rookie members only (plus student leaders). All band members and one parent per family are expected to attend the annual meeting on Wednesday night at 7:00 at Burtsfield School. The full schedule will be posted in the Event Calendar section shortly, but the full band begins on Thursday at 8 AM. Here is a copy of the 2009 WLMB Information File. Students should bring instruments and a pencil to every rehearsal. Tennis shoes (with socks) are A MUST at all rehearsals. We will be outside for several hours at a time, so anyone prone to sunburns should bring plenty of sunblock. See you on the 29th!!! |

Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra take Gold! |

Congratulations to all members of the West Lafayette Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra on their outstanding performances at the ISSMA State Qualification contest at Pike High School. Both earned a Gold Rating "With Distinction" in their performance.
Congratulations again for two OUTSTANDING contest performances!!
